I Cook
With over twenty years experience in commercial food production, I can contract manufacture your goods or products in small or large batches.
You Cook
Whether a small startup wanting to test run and create, a caterer looking for a casual space to rent, or you've outgrown your existing premise, we have what you need.
We Cook
Got a favourite pickle or preserve that you want help cooking in large batches? Or perhaps you want to recreate the nostalgia of grandmas kitchen. We can cook it together.
PRICING
Kitchen Hire:
On an ongoing basis, My Kitchen Space can be hired at a rate of $25 per hour + gst, for a minimum of 4 hours
On a casual basis, My Kitchen Space can be hired at a rate of $32 per hour + gst, for a minimum of 4 hours
Dry storage is available on a per shelf basis for $28 per month + gst
Fridge/freezer storage is available for $46 per month + gst (you must supply your own fridge/freezer)
Pallet storage is negotiable depending on the turnover i.e. is it storage or is it being used for inwards goods and removed promptly after production. Please contact me to discuss your requirements
Off peak hire is also available, at a rate of $22 per hour + gst between 8pm and 7am, for a minimum of 4 hours
Bond:
A bond of up to $200 applies to all kitchen hire arrangements
Consulting:
If you are unsure about processes, equipment or general cooking requirements, Anne is available to assist. The first half hour is free, to give both yourselves and Anne a chance to meet and discuss your requirements. After this, consulting will be charged at a rate of $40 per hour + gst, charged in half hour blocks.
Bond and kitchen hire must be paid for in advance, before access to My Kitchen Space can be granted.
Cleaning
Cleanliness is of upmost importance in My Kitchen Space, and you are contractually obliged to leave the premise in the state you found it in. Failure to clean the space to a satisfactory standard will result in a $150 + gst cleaning fee.
We provide a checklist in accordance with the Food Safety Programme, and all of the necessary cleaning equipment, to make this as easy as possible for you.
You need to provide your own dish cloths and tea towels, which must be taken with you.
What comes in must go out - please take all recycling and waste with you.
LEGAL
My Kitchen Space complies with all Napier City Council food premises requirements, however it is a legal requirement of the city council that you obtain permission to produce food commercially. We are able to assist with this for a fee of $80 + gst plus relevant council costs.
All new tenants are required to sign a My Kitchen Space contract before commencement of lease. Tenants and staff are also legally required to undergo an induction to ensure you are aware of all safety requirements and emergency exits. Please allow an extra half hour for this on your first visit. You will not be charged for this induction time.
